| "Robert Jennings is the most organized
person I've ever known."
That's what just about anybody who knows
him says.
And if you ask him why he's so organized,
he simply says: "Because it works."
Pressed further, he explains that it enables
him to see things more clearly, control things more dependably, and do
things more easily.
He has, in fact, so believed in the benefits
of being well-organized that for years he has made it part of his daily
life to find simpler ways to manage things, as well as more efficient ways
to do things.
Out of those efforts has evolved a well-integrated
system for getting things done -- one which is deceptively simple, yet
remarkably effective.
Inspiration
Although the system grew out of his desire
to manage his own life well, he recently realized that it could
also be used very effectively by others.
It can, in fact, be used by
anyone
to realize the same benefits it affords him.
He realized, also, that there are probably
a great many people who would recognize the value of having such a system
to help them manage their lives, but who simply don't have the extra energy
and time needed to develop and implement such a system for themselves.
He wondered if there are, among those,
any who would be willing to "stop" their lives for a day or two in order
to have someone else -- someone who knew exactly how to do
it -- help them "magically" implement such a system for their lives.
From talking to many people over a period
of months, he learned two important facts. One, that nearly universally
there is an almost desperate hunger for some better way to manage all the
things people need to look after and get done in their lives. And two,
that there are indeed some who would readily take a short "time out" from
their busy lives, if they could have expert help implementing an answer
that really works.
Implementation
And so, to address that need, he formed
The
Robert Jennings Company in 2003, and named his system "Managing Everyday
Life™".
The company's mission is "To provide one-on-one,
hands-on mentoring in the system and art of Managing Everyday Life™".
The "one-on-one" means that it's a personal
service for individuals. In fact, it's for all individuals, not
just those in some particular walk of life. It provides substantial
benefits for virtually everyone who has a lot to do, needs to get it all
done dependably, and needs a better way to easily manage it all:
. executives
. housewives
. students
. everyone! |
The "hands-on mentoring" includes both
personal instruction in the principles and methods of the system and side-by-side
assistance in physically implementing those principles with respect to
all the specific "business" of the individual client's life, i.e., all
the things he or she must, or would simply like to, get done. The fully
functional, tangible end-products of that physical implementation include
both a simple and well-ordered filing system and appropriate control notebooks.
As for "the system and art": he refers
to Managing Everyday Life™ as an art, as well as a system, because its
tools, structure, and principles (the system) permit each user unlimited
flexibility to continuously and creatively tailor it to his unique personal
style and purposes -- flexibility to make an inherently valuable system
increasingly more valuable to him, while keeping an inherently simple system
wonderfully simple (the art)!
Elaboration
Client comfort is an important aspect of
the mentoring process. This is so because one must use the system regularly
if he is to realize its remarkable benefits, and he won't use it regularly
unless he understands it well and is comfortable with it. Robert made explanation
and discussion ongoing parts of the implementation process in order to
address this need. Through such interaction, the client understands continuously
and clearly where he is in the process -- what benefits have already been
captured, where he's heading, and how the elements interrelate to form
a smooth, easy-to-use, and very effective system.
The process of implementing the Managing
Everyday Life™ system can generally be accomplished within two or three
days. It requires several substantially uninterrupted hours of work together
at the client's office, home, or other venue of operation, the exact length
of time varying with individual client circumstances.
Virtually everyone has numerous
areas of their lives in which they would benefit from better organization,
each of which requires specific organizing attention. A brief mentoring
process cannot, of course, develop one's organization in each of those
areas. What the Managing Everyday Life™ mentoring process can do
-- and beautifully does -- is provide a sound nucleus for a well-organized
life. It immediately pulls into a well-integrated system whatever organizational
detail one has developed, provides him with a structure to accommodate
whatever level of organizational detail he might develop in the future,
and equips him with an elegant central control system which will facilitate
that development.
To anyone who might think he doesn't have
time to use such a system, Robert would say, "It is probably you
who needs it most, and you would make a grave mistake to think that
it will cost you time. What it truly will do is save you
time, every day." For a few moments of use now and then during the course
of the day, hours are often saved, or freed up for doing other things.
In addition, when one uses the system he experiences both a great sense
of control of his life and a wonderful peace of mind, thus making its use
much more like sheer fun than work! The benefits from this small investment
of time each day make it an extremely high-return investment.
Finally, a word of caution. Although this
system will work well for everyone, it's not for everyone.
Being well-organized is a way of life which requires a certain mindset
-- a "think organization" mindset. And not everyone has it, is willing
to develop it, or has the desire to get a lot done in his life. Managing
Everyday Life™ is for those who realize that the benefits of being well-organized
far outweigh its costs, who understand that the system is not a commodity
which can be installed by a third party and used without further thought,
and who want better control of their lives. For those people it holds tremendous
power! It may, in fact, well be the "missing link" which gives the
person of exceptional talent, whose success might otherwise be thwarted
by inadequate organization, the means to brilliantly achieve all the goals
and dreams of his life.
Summation
Managing Everyday Life™ is a capital investment
which, in the course of two or three days, veritably transforms
one's life. It enables one to:
. very dependably meet commitments
. very effectively manage affairs
. very efficiently accomplish tasks
. and do all with ease, confidence,
and peace-of-mind |
Put simply, it facilitates success and
happiness for whoever uses it.
It's well worth your time -- whoever
you are, whatever the complexion of your life -- to check it out!
